At about 3:00pm, smack dab in the middle of the work day, it started snowing. I suppose technically it was graupel, but you couldn't convince me otherwise. The above shot is of the icy white stuff just chillin' on an artificial putting green.
The entire office dropped everything and hastened outside to experience this truly special Arizona weather phenom.
Like all precipitation in Arizona though, it was fleeting. Soon we were back at our desks reposting reviews and researching manufacturer websites. Also worth mentioning: on our drive home we went from zero visibility to blinding sunshine in a matter of miles, witnessed a double rainbow and, although I'm no storm-chaser, almost certainly saw a tornado bearing wall cloud descending out of the gloomy dark clouds.
Only ten degrees separate us from waking up tomorrow to a blanket of snow.
